Another torn ACL at the Oswalds
Yep, Josh is pretty excited to be paying for yet another ACL surgery at the Oswald house in just 2 years…this time it’s Miss Zoey!
After injuring one of her back legs earlier this year and trying desperately to get it to heal, we finally caved and got the doggie x-ray last week. The doctor said surgery is a must, eventually the leg will die (unlike humans!) and you will need to then amputate. THAT sold me on surgery. She is off next week for a surgical consult at a local animal hospital and will hopefully be having surgery very soon. We may be dusting off that cone again!
After some reading, I learned that an ACL tear is the most common orthopedic injury seen in animal hospitals…above hip dysplasia and broken bones. Who knew!
Anxious to get Miss Zoey back to normal. She has been missing her long walks, big purple ball, and rope.
