Zoey the Gargoyle
Haven’t written much about our Zoey for a while, so I thought I’d share a little bit about what makes her so special.
Of Zoey’s many unique & varying poses, expressions, and faces, our favorite is the, ‘I’m going to manipulate you to play with me,’ or ‘Gargoyle’ for short.
She’ll drop either her rope or ball at your feet, sit there wagging her tail, hunched over, look from you to the rope until you give in and play. And she doesn’t just look at you, she looks into your eyes and right through to your soul. She can do this easily for at least a half hour. Sometimes Josh will even have staring contests with her! We think she’s part black lab, part collie and the eye manipulation thing is very much a collie or herding dog characteristic.
We play rope and ball at least four times a day, each! Imagine the fun she has when visitors come over…new people to play with! Her mission in life is to play, play, play. I’m pretty sure she’d play until she fell over from exhaustion.
Just one of the many things that makes our Miss Zoey so unique! We’ll never have another dog like her.
