Happy Halloween!

I was super excited for trick-or-treat last night because it’s our first in an actual neighborhood. After getting teenage trick-or-treaters at the townhouse several years ago we started hiding from beggers night.

This year I was anxious to make our mark on the neighborhood, show everyone that we are nice and friendly neighbors to have, AND be the cool house on the block that all the kids want to run to each beggers night! This year, I bought Halloween shaped Silly Bands, Halloween tatoos, pop rocks, and other delicious chocolatey treats for the kiddos. I got lots of, “ohhh, silly bands!” and “You have POP ROCKS, cool!” Although one girl did inform me that she does not like silly bands.

It was so refreshing to hear so many thank you’s and polite candy takers and we didn’t get a single teenage trick-or-treater.

PS – one little girl came up and said, “I used to live here.” Eeek, so glad Josh answered the door on that one!
