I think I need to add this book to my library…not sure if it should go with my cookbooks or my novels though. I actually laughed out loud when I read the title, “When French Women Cook: A Gastronomic Memoir.”
It looks like quite an interesting mix of cookbook and memoir, a simple story of one woman’s (Madeleine Kamman) passion for cooking, the cooks she admired the most, and the memories she made. The author was French-born, but moved to American in 1960 and opened a very well known restaurant, Chez la Mere Madeleine, hosted the PBS cooking show Madeleine Cooks, and founded the School for American Chefs.
I know of someone else who might enjoy it just as much as I will!
