Remember the episode last season where Dean was going to go on a bike ride with the fancy new bike Tori bought him and then turned around and came back? I also don’t think it’s fair to pull the “wifey” card and ask your husband to give up a hobby. You never know when it’ll come back to bite you in the butt when Mr. Husband asks you to give up a hobby of yours…like being obsessed with everything Keith Urban!

Jayne, I almost posted on this same subject. I however sit on the other side of the fence. As a husband and parent you have to put your family first and that is all about making sacrafices. I don’t think anyone was asking Dean to give up what he loves, but enjoy it in a different way–spectator, collector, etc. There are lots of things I would like to do now that just aren’t realistic choices at this point in my life. It’s hard, I don’t like when my husband commutes on icy roads or wants to pheasant hunt, and I make it very clear…it’s not about him and what he enjoys and wants…it’s about what ultimately is best for our family and making/taking calculated risks.

One thing you can’t make him do Sweetpea is to ask him to give up hunting because it’s too dangerous. There goes your passion too for deer and turkeys. Besides, both you and Josh had your Dad and me as your Hunter Safety Instructor. How dangerous can it be? Now volleyball…….
