Josh and I headed over to Indianola this weekend for a quick rabbit hunting trip with Nick and Dad. The weather was wonderful and we took home eight rabbits (3 by Josh!)…yummy!
We decided to take Highway 92 back to Tiffin rather than the interstate because of the beautiful weather…it proved to be a great decision! A few miles east of Oskaloosa, on the Muskunky Marsh, we spotted at least 15 bald eagles! Wow!!! We pulled over, snapped a couple of pictures and were able to watch them for about 10 minutes.

Last night Josh and I attended a jazz band concert…actually it was four great bands rolled into one evening. Our good friend MD is a middle school band director in one of the local school districts and we jumped at the opportunity to see him in action…it’s been a while since we’ve gone to a concert. His group of students was first up and did a great job, everyone looked like they were having so much fun on stage. We were also able to see our other friend JS and his jazz ensamble play and they did a fantastic job too.
I missed the first round of 12 last week, so I wasn’t about to miss last night. My stand out favorites from last night were, in no particular order:
I’m going to stand on my soap box for just a minute…I’ve been getting so frustrated lately between the Octo-mom, bailing out those who are foreclosing on homes, and all the economic talk.
If you know me well, you know that I have a love – or obsession – of office supplies. It’s not just any old office supplies, but ‘cool,’ unusual, or unique items. My favorite store is
My favorite part about spring/Easter is Cadbury and those scrum-delicious eggs! I can’t get enough of them.

The other night while reading, Josh asked me what my favorite book was. I pondered for a moment and then said, “Fun with Dick and Jane.”
