Josh and I enjoyed our time with family over the Thanksgiving holiday. We spent Thursday with Josh’s family playing games, laughing, and enjoying the company of family.
Friday I went duck hunting with my brother. We saw 10 mallards, but didn’t manage to take any home. The weather was great Friday morning and we managed to snap a couple of good pictures.
Saturday on our way up to Webster City for the Dermand Thanksgiving, we stopped in Stanhope for our annual Thanksgiving pheasant hunt. Dad, Nick, Josh, and I have been doing this for at least seven years. This year we had a couple of newbies; Jason, my cousin’s boyfriend, and my dad’s friend, Deb!Unfortunately, this is one of the only times I am able to pheasant hunt each year so it was fun to get out and boy was this year memorable. Between five hunters we walked away with 11 birds…this is the first opportunity I’ve had to walk away with that many birds in one hunt!!

I have an appointment Friday morning and a few things to take care of so I decided to let my hair down, throw caution to the wind, and take a day off! My goal is to not only get everything on my list checked off, but also to document the day in pictures. I’ve decided one of my resolutions for 2009 will be to take more pictures…this is a great way to start. I can’t wait to report back my results!
