It was so stinkin’ hot and humid on Saturday Josh and I decided to rent a lot of movies and stay inside. At 10am it was 85 degrees out and we could hardly stand to be outside for the short amount of time we were running errands.
Juno was outstanding and had some great one liners (“you’re looking pregnanter”), I can’t wait to add it to our movie library. We liked it so much we even watched it again on Sunday with our pregnant friend K. It’s just as funny the second time. Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead was very darkand I’m not sure I’d recommend it. There Will Be Blood, which Daniel Day-Lewis came out of retirement to star in, was great. Josh and I really enjoyed it and would probably add it to our collection, but we’re still trying to figure it all out. It was definitely worth him coming out of retirement because he was awesome! Charlie Wilson’s War was great too! I have never seen Tom Hank’s in this type of a role, but Josh and I both thought he was great. Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman had excellent onscreen chemistry. Again, I think I would add this to our movie collection as well.
We ended the day by grilling pork chops and corn on the cob…delicous. I have never grilled corn on the cob, but I have to pat myself on the back and say it was OUTSTANDING! The key is slathering the ears with lots and lots of seasoned butter!

I liked Juno too! I saw There Will Be Blood in the theter but I was somewhat disappointed….it was good, but……..yeah.
Funny… Bex and I watched those same 4 movies about 2 weeks ago. I liked them all, but thought Charlie Wilson’s War was the best by far.
Two recommendations for you: Lars & the Real Girl, and The Savages. I predict you’ll like them both.
